New Avenues > Projects > The Youth Forum
What is The Youth Forum?
The youth forum is an exciting opportunity for the young people
who use our project to have more say in how it is run for them.
It is an excellent platform for young people to discuss issues
relevant to them and to help make changes in the community.
To help do this the youth forum is launching a regular magazine.
Working on this project will give young people an opportunity
to learn valuable skills and to make new friends. A vital aspect
of this project is that it aims to encourage understanding and
integration between the local Bangladeshi and Somali communities.
The youth forum is a mixed race, mixed gender project.
Who Can Take Part?
Members of the Youth Forum are chosen or elected by peers to
represent the young people who use the project.
When Does it Take Place?
Every Thursday evening from 5-7pm
